In advance of your photo session will start with a consultation where we will discuss ideas regarding your individual style, outfits, looks and posing. We will work closely with you to create a mood board for your session so your vision and expectations become a reality. Yes, it is planned as a fashion shoot and personalized to make you look and feel elegant and beautiful.
When you arrive your session will start with initial hair and make-up (yes, it’s included in your session) followed by outfit planning. We will gradually move through all the looks and sets planned, improvising along the way to capture the moment.
Within 2 weeks from your session you will receive a link to your gallery from where you will choose your images for professional editing.
I am not a model and feel uncomfortable in front of the camera. Will I still look good on the photographs?
No need to be nervous at all. Women I photograph are everyday women just like you and me. I know how awkward you might feel to be in the middle of the room in front of the camera. I’ve been there! Yes, I’ve done a photoshoot for myself to understand how you feel. During your shoot I will skillfully guide you through elegant poses focusing on angles that bring out your most beautiful self. Our promise to you is that after your session you will see yourself in a way that you never have before.
How do I decide what to wear for the session?
This is the most common question for any type of photo session. Most importantly your clothes should fit you properly and be comfortable. Some women may use this opportunity to treat themselves to a new piece of lingerie while others may simply prefer a comfortable soft oversize sweater or an old pair of jeans. Your wardrobe also depends on your style. Do you want to look soft and tender or more edgy? Do you want to experiment with looks or do you lean towards a more classic look?
We will discuss the looks and outfits during our consultation. We can create some great pictures with just silk fabric or a plain oversized shirt or with no clothing at all. It all depends on how you feel. Just let me know in what style you prefer. If you don’t know, then it’s ok we can discover your style together. Do you only shoot in the studio?
While I am well known for my studio style imagery, I also do location sessions. This can be in your own bedroom, beach house, hotel room or any outdoor location such as private beach or secluded woods. No matter the location your session will remain in the elegant, sophisticated and modern style of Yulia Nar Photography.
